While many anti-virus tools have been created to battle known viruses, the danger lies in zero-day malware– threats that are new and have never been seen before. In recent tests conducted by AV-Test Institute, several anti-virus tools “proved wildly effective against zero-day threats, while others failed miserably.” Of 25 computer security systems tested, 10 impressively achieved 100% effectiveness at blocking zero-day threats. Utilizing and improving these anti-virus tools will minimize threats and make any existing virus removal easier than ever.
