It is estimated that cybercrime across the globe results in $400 billion in losses annually. While lower than the $1 trillion figure that McAfee claimed back in 2009, most estimates for damages in cybercrime range from $375 billion to $575 billion, which is more than the gross domestic product of most countries worldwide.
